Mistral
Fan
ARLES (FR) / 2019
Mistral is a fan conceived and produced during a one-month residency in Arles (FR), where materials were sourced and craftsmanship was celebrated in collaboration with local artisans.
The fan features an aluminum main structure, a laser-cut grid, and a concrete iron base. Its rotating blades are plasma-cut from aluminum, while the two knobs for adjusting the inclination and the handle are 3D printed using a filament made from PLA and algae sourced from the Camargue region. The motor is upcycled from a local second-hand shop, further embracing the concept of sustainability.
